Grey Sunday & Winter Windowpane Scene - By: Elissa

Grey Sunday

Does not this sombre morn
seem to be a study in greys?

Pewter clouds heavy with promise
scudding along a steely sky.

Lead, chrome, ash, silver,
every shade frosty to the mind.

Pepper furred cat with sapphire eyes
cuddles by me in his charcoal fleece.
This stony, sombre morn
now warmed with cerulean tints.

Winter Windowpane Scene

Snowflakes falling past
by windowpane sleeps soundly
grey cat against white.
A picture of warm and cold.
A scene of serenity.
