Slick The Greeting Cat
We would like to introduce you to Slick. Slick came to Dr. McFarland in the summer of 1994 after having been shot by a jerk with a BB gun. A good samaritan brought Slick to Dr. McFarland and essentially said "I found this cat. If you want to help, OK, but I'm unable." So... Dr. McFarland took Slick in as a member of the clinic family.
Turns out that Slick was paralyzed in his back legs. But that didn't stop him. Dr. McFarland had a special cart made for him by K-9 Carts in Pennsylvania. Now, Slick is the official Cat Doctor greeter.
He roams all over the clinic and says hi to everyone. In fact, Slick never met a cat he didn't like. He especially loves kittens.
May 2003 - Slick is still welcoming folks to the clinic and generally being a friend to everyone. There were some that thought Slick might not live very long, but Slick being Slick has fooled everyone. Although still requiring special care, Slick is still our Welcome Wagon. if you're in the neighborhood, stop by and say hello to Slick.
